Russia will discuss with Greece abolition of restrictions on the import of Russian meat and dairy products

Rosselhoznadzor plans to discuss with the Ministry of Agriculture of Greece on August 28 the abolition of temporary restrictions on the import of Russian meat and dairy products. This was reported by Itar-Tass aide Rosselkhoznadzor Alex Alekseyenko.

"We expect that Greece will raise this issue in the negotiations, but in this situation, very difficult - the Greek enterprises found serious irregularities in the system. We need to establish a dialogue with Greece on a new level "- said Alekseyenko.

The sides will also discuss a preliminary report on the results of the inspection of Greek enterprises, held in June.

The talks will be attended by the deputy head of Rosselkhoznadzor Eugene position in capital , Secretary General for Agricultural Policy and International Relations of the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food of Greece Dimitris Melas, and the Chief of the Veterinary Thomas Alexandroupolos.

Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on imports of meat and dairy products from Greece on July 15, "in connection with the discovery by Rosselkhoznadzor during an inspection of Greek enterprises producing finished meat and dairy products violations of veterinary and sanitary requirements and norms of CU / CU / and Russia," said Alekseyenko.

The Greek side, in turn, said that the purpose of a fundamental change in the situation in the country began work on bringing to businesses wishing to supply its products to Russia, the requirements of the Customs Union.
